Seven years on after the bloodshed and burning lives, red and black, stains are still there on some hearts! For us, it could be a daily newspaper, but the red block letters reminded me of cowards of soil Gujarat. The ones who suffered call them ‘Butchers’. Is anyone listening to them at all? Several statements released, how Maya Kodnani carried out a string of operations of open firing on people and burning houses! Naroda Patiya is still in a reckless condition with a few whole hearted people, who are all living with their incomplete families. Some lost their young sons, some lost husbands or some are still waiting for their missing children.
21 February, AM Mirror – A social worker, Shahadat Malik, who has settled in Madninagar after his house in Naroda Gam was destroyed, said the victims prayed for death. “What is the use of this life? Were we born to endure such fate? Death will bring an end to our woes,” he said.
A tribute to all those victims (now more than 1000)!
Our new so called Gujarat anthem says, “Jityu hamesha Gujarat!” (courtesy: Mr Modi’s new friend TATA) I am not sure if we can say we have always won! But yes, these people’s endurance is keeping Gujarat stand still. Be it Hindu or Muslim, we haven’t shown enough tolerance being a part of the society. We have given liberal rights to our leaders to do whatever they want. We do not keep track, we do not try to understand! What are the consequences and what are the counter effects of all those activities, plans and projects executed by the Government! Modi said in his recent speeches, “Gujarat ne etlu agal lai jaie ke koi ena sudhi pohnchi pan na shake!” (Let’s take Gujarat forward, that no one can reach us!”) What are we into, a dog race? Why do we want to go ahead of everyone? From ages, we are trying to learn the lessons of togetherness and harmony! Who do we want to beat? Yes, we protect ourselves from anti-socials and criminals, but who else we want to defeat? It involves some kind of lust for success, power and numero uno! We develop our cities, state and take others with us and grow together!
Rather than celebrating Nano’s plant in Gujarat, it could be a humble gesture of accommodating something which our fellow state could not due to whatsoever reason! Actually, if it would have been the same case in Gujarat as it was in West Bengal, I really doubt we would have protested! But, one thing I am sure about is, this is going to be the punch line for the next election! This one case was a national affair and there may be transparent transactions for the plant, lands and employment. But how many of us would know about the lands allocated to Ambanis and Adanis. Ace political scientist, Pravin Sheth has also raised questions over the model of development of this Gujarat Government. The primary impact seems fruitful but the counterparts are not getting compensated well and not being taken care!
Government has been poor in after sales services, be it sustaining the developed cities like Ahmedabad, or sustaining the shine of Gujarat – diamond industry in Surat, or rehabilitating the riot victims. Many malls got opened in the city in last couple of years and now we see an apparent decline in sales, malls are empty as well as shops are closing down and recently, it has come to my knowledge for the first time that the new Reliance mall on SG Highway, Ahmedabad is closing soon! Two floors are already shut! On CG Road, Iscon arcade recently rented open space for exhibition stalls! I think it is time to realize before it is too late.
Now, a young congress man, visiting Gujarat to reach different regions and different issues of Gujarat is giving the BJP chiefs sleepless nights. They are trying everything! Yes, Rahul Gandhi is also doing it for votes and he wants to win elections in Gujarat under Congress. But, he is at work! I have seen Modi appearing for promoting Mr Advani, commenting on Rahul Gandhi that he is coming to Gujarat to learn (which is again a positive initiative, isn’t it Mr Modi?), or hailing for TATA (“my nano, my nano!” as if it his own production!) I did not hear a word about Surat and diamond workers. What is he busy with? Pushing Advani for PM position?
Mr. Modi has crores of rupees for “Summits” and “Vibrants”! I am so amazed, he asking for money from Central Government for rehabilitation of diamond workers of Surat. Also, he clinches the credit for every development and blames Center for the failure in maintaining the conditions of diamond workers. I just mentioned this a few days before in my previous post:

To be very honest, I believe to ‘forget and forgive’ at some extent and hence I have often tried to leave it back (can’t forget!) what Modi has done! But again to be extremely honest, it keeps coming back by his biased policies. His language sounds more arrogant, and has always taken an advantage of people’s emotions. In his speech he is blaming for Lyngdoh for indecent language and he himself calling him, “halia malia jamalia from dehli footpath”! What decency he is preserving?
I can go on and on this, hurting a lot of sentiments of people who love Modi blindly! Do love everyone including Modi and do make him win elections, just be aware of what is actually happening and think of the consequences before taking any decision. think, think, think!

Please let me clarify that I am a common man and having neutral personility does not belong to BJP or COngress. Please look in to your own collar before blaiming Modi for his good doings. Y r blaming Modi for his good act done for gujarat. Gujarat has never seen this kind of visionary personality and u foolish congressi (murakh na hajam) people should try to understand that by critising MOdi, u r making people agianst congress. It is your fate and bedluck that even a single person is not in congress who can understand that Modi is becoming bigger and bigger because of your wrong criticism and getting undue publicity by your criticism and he himself is not required to make his publicity, because congree is helping him in publicity.
You shoudl try to see that what Manmohansingh has done after Mumbai attacks. Only blaming pakistan and that is all over. That is not solution in my humble opinion. U
do not have sympathy for victims of mumbai attack or say anyother attack in country. U r appointing Mr shivaraj patil who has not even won single election as Home Minister of india. It is india’ bedluck that U bastard (in gujarati we call “na mard” ) people are ruling over India. U r people who has not taken any concrete step and acted on america’s command. Pl note that as a common man , we expect strong step from u like israel or china against terorism.
U are the people who has allowed bangladeshi people to enter in to india for your own votebank. U are the people who are playing with CBI like your servant agency and utilising it for your own political benefit. Like u protected mayawati in many cases and now Mulayamsingh yadav by withdrawaing cases against him.
U have sympathy for victims of naroda patia but u do not have sympathy for people who were burnt live in godhra train. U shoudl tell those people that priviledges trhat they r getting in our country are far more greater than what they may get in hard core muslim countries.
U are the poeple who have introduced reservation system in our country. U always on every fine new day coming out with relief packages or new reservation for muslim. In your opinion, Bahumati has no right to live in this country (b’cos of your votebank politics. )
I do not require any message to be given to public at large to awake or be aware as public is now so much aware that they recognise every politician and every political party.
U do not have any understanding of world politics and . recently america has annouced a big package for pakistan. (surprised and shocked to know that) Pl try to understand that america is helping a country who does terrorism. In a way, its obejcts are looking very dangerous. It may be obtaining of possession of kashmir illegally by them over a period of time. But your people are silent on this issue. B’cos it does not affect your votebank. U think that if u speak something against it, it may adversely affect your votebank. U foolish people don’t have simple understanding that if u speak anything for india’a soverign or for India’s proud) your votebank will be increased b’cos still votebank of hindu’s are biggerthan that of muslims.
U r the people who have politicised every issue. I agree that BJP is not far behind of this. But so far as talk of governance of Mr. Modi is to be made, I will say that he is number one in india and whatever be his language , we admire him for his courage to speak truly on any issue relating to nation or relating to any particular personality.

as against above, i may say that u r trying to motivate people to go backward and be your “gulams over decades “. We should look forward and if he is saying that we want to reach newer heights, there is nothing wrong. We want to be ahead of others by healthy competition. We must gro over a period of time. Your congressy govt has ruled this country for 6 to 7 decades and made this country poorer and poorer. Now if Mr. Modi wants progress, growth , prosperity and if he is motivating people for this , there is nothing wrong. He is according to me a “GOD” in gujarat b’cos no politicians r thinking like him. (incl BJP) . I think after sardar patel, he is second one who is real deshpremi and b’cos of his able leadership. many more will be borne in gujarat.

I can very well see how you are dragged away from the issue. People like you are blinded by Modi’s so called courageous speeches and etc etc. I don’t even like his body language to be honest! Courage and arrogance has got a thin line in between. First thing first, I have not anywhere mentioned BJP at all in my writing! I am not a party person either. I am addressing indiviuals here! Secondly, I have not uttered a single word about anywhere else but Gujarat. I have only shown my concerns about Gujarat in my writing. You think, I am just throwing off my frustration on my blogs! But you seem to be quite disturbed and you have had to bring me all those reasons and incidents from all over the world. I have a great sympathy for who died in Godhra, but your sympathy for them is quite futile as you must be quite away from the truth like the rest of the Gujarat. The whole batch of that S6, Sabarmati Express was containing hardly anyone who is really Hindu by birth. Number of people were, including ladies, gents and children were given this “bhagva kapda” to turn into hindus from dalits just spending a few bucks and on an emotional note that they are our brothers and sisters and equal as hindus. All those were taken for “karseva” and on their way back a pre-planned execution was carried out. The plan was a little different but turned into a more successful plan to butcher muslims from the whole state. There were many cities and villages where nothing much happened apart from what happned in Ahmedabad and some other cities, because the weapons already reached in ahmedabad on 28 from Punjab. It takes 3 days to get weapons from Punjab, how did they reach on 28th itself? Dear Deshpremi, go to the root of the problem, root of the cause, and then waste your time writing this much. I am not here to promote any godd damn politician or congress! I am here to spread awareness which you think we have! What we know is bullshit!
You only see what your eyes want to see, and what politicians are showing you because they are owning the multiplex of Goverment and picture published is “God Modi”! What else would you see apart from his “leela”! See I would just request you that whatever you do, whatever you see, try to test it against the ideal conditions. We are not living in ideal conditions. You would argue that we don’t have any riots since 2002 so we are in peace. You cannot have peace by threatening and keeping people in fear! You can’t shout at your child to make him do what you want, you have to love the child and have to make him/her understand what is right and what is wrong! Love is the only answer! With the anger and hatred you have in your mind, it is very difficult that you can even keep peace in your colony even!
